Gertie - Jurassic

 Introducing Gertie Jurassic

As many of you may not know half of Team Smitten went to college for film studies and photography. In film studies 101 one of the most important and iconic "cartoons" was Gertie the Dinosaur. This was the cartoon that paved the way for all animated features! It seemed very fitting to name our dinosaur wrap Gertie, is named in honor of Gertie the Dinosaur the world's 1st key frame animator by animator Winsor McCay!

    So in love

The Gertie was my first woven wrap purchase and I cannot be any happier with it. As a novice wrapper who was used to a didy I'd been borrowing, the wide wrap was a little overwhelming at first, but now I greatly appreciate the extra fabric.

Even brand new, this wrap was so soft after the first wash and is only getting softer. It wraps like a dream, and we've gotten so many compliments on the design.

I'm super glad I jumped on this purchase!

    So cute!

My budding paleontologist is in love with this one and begged me to never ever sell it! You got it, kiddo. Breaking in nicely after some wearing and hammocking. The extra width is nice with my big kids, but does make it a bit bulky when tying off. On the thick end of medium thick, but that gives it a lot of support despite being all cotton. I have heavy kids and it's great on my shoulders. It was very grippy at first, but that's settled down to a nice medium grip as it's broken in. All in all, it's a solid wrap and just so stinking cute. Looking forward to more coloways!

    Woot Woot!

I greatly enjoy this pattern, being an origami hobbyist. It's breaking in nicely, even after only one ironing session. The black color is holding strong (no fading) during wash cycles. There is lots of room to hold my 3.5' tall 3 year old child.
